The London knights took on the Erie Otters in pre season action tonight at Budweiser Garden’s and now have a 3-0 record. It was a slow start to the game as the first period ended scoreless with the shots being only 8-4 in favor of the Knights. The Knights came back out in the second and they were dominant. Riely Coome decided to drop the gloves early in the second period and it was all knights from there. Ten seconds after the fight Cole Tymkin fired one passed the Otters net minder to make it 1-0. The Knights added two more goals late in the second period to take a commanding 3 goal lead. Heading into the third the Knights had a good pace to their game but, they were not satisfied. They would end up adding two more to cap off another pre season win with a final score of 5-0.
Cole Tymkin had a goal and two assists and was all over the Otters. He was spoken to after the game and he was happy with how things went ” it’s nice to see Coome drop the gloves it got us fired up, especially since we were on home ice that added fuel to the fire”. He later went on to mention “it was nice to have the young guys play their role, and follow the system and the fact that we were all on the same page, really helped us get the win and we are looking forward to the home opener next week against Windsor and we feel ready”. The Knights will have to be on top of their game once again as Windsor tends to be a tough opponent especially on opening nights.
