Another Fanshawe Falcon’s athlete is being recognized today by the Ontario College Athletics Association (OCAA) for her accomplishments during the seven-day period ending Sunday, Sept. 16.
Right hand pitcher for Falcon’s Softball, Rachel Eby (Monkton, Ont.) has been named one of this week’s OCAA stars.

Rachel has gone 3-0 in her past 3 showings against first-place St. Clair, defending champion Durham and Conestoga, all teams currently ahead of the Falcons (3-5) in the OCAA standings. Over the week she has logged 208 strikes and 11 strikeouts off of 331 pitches.
She played her best game against the Conestoga Condors on Sunday going 2-of-3 at the plate hitting a double. After allowing just one run off of 3 hits across her 8-inning showing she is hot and ready for her game against the Mowhawk Mountaineers tomorrow at 6pm (@ Mowhawk Sports Park, Field 1).
The women’s softball team next home game is Wednesday, September 19th.
