At approximately 11 am on September 21, 18 year old, Zachary McDermott turned himself in to the police at London Police Service Headquarters.
McDermott has been charged with two counts in the Criminal Code of Canada offences, including first degree murder, and attempt murder by discharging a firearm.
21 year old, Christopher Clements-Card, was wounded during the shooting at Dundas Street, near Veteran’s Memorial Parkway at a local Tim Horton’s. He was rushed to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The firearm used in the shooting has not been recovered, but the police are continuing to investigate.
McDermott is expected to make a court appearance later this afternoon in relation to his charges.
