The Fanshawe Falcons Women’s Soccer team looks striking so far in Ontario College Athletics Association (OCAA) action.
The Falcons went into tonights game with the St. Claire Saints (2-2-1) garnering a 5-0 record placing them as top team in the West and third in OCAA.
Game 6 of Falcon’s women’s soccer was a big one for the ladies in red.
Going into this one with a perfect 5-0 record means one more win may be all it takes to set them apart from other OCAA conference leaders. (Sheridan 5-0 , Seneca 5-0)

Game Recap
Kayla McQueen (London, ON) started scoring early for Fanshawe tapping one into the back of the net just 8-minutes into the match. The Falcons extended their lead to 2 after a made penalty kick by star striker, Jade Kovacevic (Acton, ON) in the 28th minute.

Fanshawe continued to pressure St. Claire Saints goalkeeper Madison Kaldenbach (Milton, ON). The Falcons took 18 shots on net through the match, which includes one more goal in the 77th minute by Jade Kovacevic making her the night’s leading scorer.
St. Claire was also shutout in their last match up with the Falcons. Tonight’s game was like deja vu for the Saints as they lose to Fanshawe 3-0.

Tha Fanshawe Falcons have placed 8th on the Canadian College Athletics Association (CCAA) rankings which ranks all Canadian Colleges.

3-time Golden Boot winning striker in Jade Kovacevic (Acton, ON) has been a big part of the Falcon’s success this year. She’s scored 20 of her team’s 33 goals this season, breaking multiple records already in the early season.
