Fanshawe Falcon’s get a shot of competitive pride this week. Big news coming from the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) this week.
Fanshawe Women’s/Men’s soccer and Women’s/Men’s Golf just ranked TOP 10 in the CCAA National Rankings.
Men’s Soccer just making the list ranked at #10 in the CCAA.
They are currently undefeated in regular season as of September 17th of 2016. That is a 23-game sweeping from the Falcons after their latest win versus the St. Claire Saints in front of the home crowd.
Right now the Falcons have the second most goals in the league (19), and the second least goals against (5). The team has also recorded 2 shuttouts so far this season with a strong defensive line and goalkeepers in Alexander Jakma (Richmond Hill, ON) and Ryan Miners (London, ON).
The Falcons play next on Saturday, September 29th against Lambton College. Game time at 3pm.

Women’s Soccer lands at #8 in CCAA National Rankings.
Women’s soccer starting this season with an undefeated and untouched 6-0 start to this OCAA season. Right now the girls are running the Ontario College Athletic Association (OCAA) with the most goals by a team (33) with goalkeeper Breanne Carreiro only allowing 2 shots into their own net.
3-time Golden Boot winning striker, Jade Kovacevic, is the big story of the Fanshawe team. She has personally scored 23 of her teams 33 goals so far. She is on track for the OCAA single season scoring record (Tiffany Johnson: 83).

Men’s Golf on par for Fanshawe placing #10 in CCAA National Rankings.
After Fanshawe’s Men’s Golf placed 2nd overall at an 18-hole OCAA tournament in Grand Niagara. The team is led by returning Thomas Code (Dorchester, ON) and Blake Mackey (Walkerton, ON).
Blake Mackey also tied for second place in another tournement at Georgian College with a score of 71, just 1 point over first place.
Fanshawe Athletics is hosting the OCAA Golf Provincial Championship this year. It will be held at FireRock Golf Course from October 1st-October 3rd.

Women’s Golf flying highest of the Falcons hitting #7 in CCAA National Rankings.
Fanshawe’s Women’s Golf ranked as the number one team in two out of their 3 tournaments last week. Rookie Alyssa Stoddart (Orangeville, ON) and Mery Tarigan (Kabanjahe, Indonesia) make up Fanshawe’s team.
