The London community has the pleasure of receiving a new vegan location, where you can purchase all things vegan. The Vegan Hub, which is opening up on October 27 at 905 Oxford Street, is a location that will hold products sold by Delizioso Skin Care and All Things Holistic, all in one location.
Sherry Simoes is the owner of All Things Holistic, and will now be a co-founder for The Vegan Hub, alongside Leeona and Ariel Emerald, two sisters who started Delizioso. The Emerald sisters wanted a more local location, and Sherry sold some of Delizioso’s products. Both locations’ leases were up, and so after working together for so long, they started the discussion of combining their companies under one roof as a partnership.
All Things Holistic’s products were based around Dr. Mila Emerald’s ingredients, where she made a line of essential oils called Phyto RX for Sherry’s location. Mila Emerald is extremely excited to see what Simoes and her daughters will do in The Vegan Hub.
“I’m very excited that these young women are coming together to do business in London.” Dr. Mila Emerald explains. “The future of London are the young entrepreneurs. We have to support them, we have to help them, and they are showing us the way to be more healthy, more functional, and to feel great about yourself everyday.”
Co-founder, Sherry Simoes, is also extremely excited for all of the products that will be sold.
“Natural skincare, body care, books, and clothing, and all types of wonderful vegan supplements and shakes and bars. So we’re saying it’s your source for all things vegan.”
Veganism is starting to grow more popular every year, but not only in food. For London to be able to open a shop where you can purchase more than just vegan food is so important for the community.
“I think that vegans have to shop around to find where to find things.” Simoes adds. “This is going to be a one stop shop, where we can add new products for them all the time. We’re hoping we can make it their home for all things vegan.”
There are individuals who don’t agree with animal cruelty on any level, not just food. Which is why it’s so unique for The Vegan Hub to team up with Delizioso Skin Care. Delizioso is going to be able to bring 100% all vegan cosmetics, skin care products, hair care, baby care, and even perfume. Co-founders Leeona and Ariel Emerald decided to start this company for a couple of different reasons.
“Women are really starting to look into the products that they use on their skin, because skin is your largest organ.” Leeona explains. “There are very limited options for good quality skin care products which contain only natural vegan ingredients.”
But not only did these hardworking sisters decide to start this line to the women and men who wanted it, they also did it for a bigger purpose.
“We started the skin care line, generally to bring justice to the cosmetic industry,” Ariel adds, “There’s so much greenwashing out there, there’s so many ingredients which are carcinogenic. And when we started to study it, we just discovered so many eye-opening statements, so we wanted to create something that’s pure.”
Having a location is so important that provides these options, and a space where you know that the things you are purchasing are vegan. Which is why The Vegan Hub is putting together a DIY Corner inside of their shop where you can use the vegan materials to make your own vegan products. You can pick from vegan butters, to essential oils, and even salts. You can also find recipes to make your own moisturizers, lip scrubs, or a lip balm.
Food, drinks, cosmetics and skin care, aren’t the only options that will be offered as there will also be vegan fashion available to purchase. The Emerald sisters and Simoes were aware of what Ilana Abbey Walker did, and wanted her to be able to be a part of The Vegan Hub as well. Ilana is an amazing animal rights activist that works towards helping and educating others about leading a healthier, vegan and completely cruelty free lifestyle. She is also a talented model and artist and is now a co-founder of The Vegan Hub. She will be bringing in her own clothing line, as she wants to make others aware that there are easy ways to get around purchasing clothes without harming animals.
“Instead of leather, you would have pleather. Instead of having wool, there’s lots of acrylic versions of that. So, essentially just showing people that there’s this whole other world of fashion that doesn’t include cruelty.”
All 5 of these women want to bring this option into the community so that those who are vegans don’t have to struggle with living their lifestyle.
