Mystery, fun and the chance to help others are combine, if you choose to watch the 12th original play put by The Green Room Players from London. The new play called “Murder Family Feud Style” will take place at Trinity United Church Community Centre on October 26th.
It is a mix of different characters where you will probably have lots of fun. The Green Room players is a group of 20 volunteer actors of all ages brought together to benefit the community through proceeds from performing original comedy plays. The play is about two families – Sparrow and Whackini – fighting for $1 million during the finale of the Cross Canada Family Feud Championship.
House Manager Melissa Zavitz says that is an original play by Cat Hall-Oaker and the “grand finale” will count with the participation of the public.
“There is bad blood between the two families, and the host is not too pleased to have them in the finale either. What could possibly go wrong? The audience should keep an eye out for hints as they will have a chance to guess who the killer was in the end,” adds Zavitz.
One of the actress Siobhan Browning says that the best part is knowing that what they are doing will help people in need.
“The money we raise is for a cause. It is so much satisfaction knowing this. Our church is really great because they do a lot for communities here. We have homeless meals, and also we have had fundraisers for LGBTQ events. We are a very open and lovely church.”
A buffet will be open prior to the show, and also desserts will be served during the intermission. Tickets are available on the Green Room Facebook page or by phone (519) 455-2710.
