The London Knights played a solid game tonight in a 6-2 win over the winless FireBirds who now have a 0-15-1 record. The Knights opened the scoring thanks to Nathan Dunkley, and they didn’t look back. Cole Tymkin has had a tremendous start to the season as he is currently in a scoring race with Connor McMichael who scored a goal tonight, while Tymkin now has 9 goals on the season, and had 2 tonight.
The London Knights will have a tough task ahead this weekend, as they are on the road taking on the Owen Sound Attack and the Kitchener Rangers. Both of those teams will bring their “A” game this weekend but, the Knights will have Evan Bouchard and Alex Fromenton back in their lineup. This will be a game changer, and both games this weekend will display plenty of intensity and speed.
” We know they’re going to be a tough task and we just have to stick to our systems, play smart, and everything should work out the way we want it to. We know that we are better when we work hard so, that’s what we will do.” Those were Tymkin’s words after a solid win.
Antonio Stranges is also aware that the games this weekend will be bigger, and with Bouchard and Formenton back in the lineup the team suddenly has a lot more confidence.
“It’s definitely a big boost for our lineup they definitely are going to be helpful. Both guys are coming back from the NHL, both scored goals so, it will definitely make things easier.”
The Knights will be back on home ice Friday November 9th hopefully with 2 more wins under their belt after this weekend. As they’ll take on a team from up north… The Sudbury Wolves.
