Today marks a sad day for superhero fans everywhere as Stan Lee has passed away at the age of 95. Lee is best known as the creator of heroes like Spider-Man, The X-Men and Iron Man. Lee has also appeared in every Marvel film from Sam Rami’s Spider-Man trilogy up to The Ant-man and The Wasp in 2018.
It is known that Lee’s health has not been great in the last year or so with him even opting out of convention appearances. Lee served during World War 2 as a playwright, one of only 2 in the American army.
Despite Stan Lee’s death it is known that he had already filmed future movie cameos, which will no doubt serve as a tribute.
Though Lee has passed, his memory will live on in the heroes he created. No amount of time will stop Spider-Man from being spectacular, Iron Man from being invincible, the Hulk from being incredible or the Four from being fantastic.
To Stan Lee we say thank you. Excelsior.
