The Ontario Provincial Police have an update on the fatal crash that took place at approximately 12:30pm between Medway and Richmond road.
“This was a fatal collision, there is a person that was deceased. We are still waiting for a name of the deceased driver, we are also waiting for the post mortem reports. That could take a while because, they want to make sure they don’t miss anything. The deceased driver was pronounced dead upon the arrival on the scene.”
Said Constable/Media Officer, Adam Crewdson from the Middlesex County OPP.
“What we have established so far in our investigation is that, the driver that is deceased was the driver at fault.”
The Collision was between a vehicle and a truck carrying concrete. The truck driver will not be charged.
“What we can say so far with the investigation still ongoing is, the driver of the truck will not be charged. He was actually driving perfectly fine.”
The OPP also added, they are still trying to figure out what prompted the collision. Those details should be released soon. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Middlesex County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
