With the holidays drawing closer more charities are feeling the pressure to get their donations in. For the London public library they are in the home stretch for completing their demand for around 6000 books, with only a few hundred more to fill.
The library is currently struggling to get novels for ages 12-16, graphic novels are also in high demand.
“The hope is we can build a connection between a child and the characters of a story. Even as adults we love our relationships between ourselves and these characters. ” Lisa Maniskicos of the London Public Library said about the importance of books.
