Charlie the kid played the Gatsby House the other night. The bill included past and present Fanshawe MIA bands including Charlie himself, Sneaker Club, and successful indie rock band Lost in Japan. Charlie the Kid, one of the night’s main attractions is getting ready for an episode of CTV’s the Launch which he is featured on.
“You’ve gotta do what you can to become a part of a community” ~Charlie the Kid, Local Musician
It was a music driven night to the backdrop of pong and Foosball, as the crowd of over 50 squeezed into the small house venue for a night of nostalgic covers and crafty originals.
“Any of you guys over there playing Foosball, I suggest you come down here for some rock and roll” ~Dan Wag of Sneaker Club
Gatsby Records is known for holding exclusive music events for students of Fanshawe’s MIA program. This is a very healthy way for students to express themselves through music and to have a fun time.
Charlie is getting ready for his spot on CTV’s The Launch, a platform to promote and broadcast up and coming musicians work. Charlie just released his second single across all platforms titled “I wokeup in Mooney’s Bay”.
Keep an eye out for Charlie and his music come February for the launch.
