The Ontario government is now reporting some missed cases from yesterday of COVID-19 due to a glitch.
Ontario’s Health Minister Christine Elliot confirmed in a tweet Friday morning that a “one-time data upload issue” caused a glitch to miss 87 cases. Bring the total from yesterdays numbers from 258 cases to 341 cases on Thursday. Today, Elliot says there are 341 new cases of COVID-19 being reported.
That means Ontario’s new daily cases continue to trend downward as we expand our #COVID19 testing guidelines to ensure we keep a close eye on any shifts in community spread and identify and contain new cases.

The province total now stands at 21,922 cases of COVID-19.
This comes after the province’s announcement of starting stage one of reopening our province. On Saturday, golf clubs, marinas, private parks and campgrounds, and businesses that board animals would be allowed to resume operations for the holiday weekend.
On Tuesday, retail stores that have separate street-front entrances (not in malls), seasonal businesses, recreational activities that can be played while physical distancing such as Tennis, Track and Field, animal services like pet grooming, and construction sites could all be resumed.
