Details are coming today regarding Ontario’s move to stage 3 of re-opening. Premier Doug Ford’s government said that information about what to expect from stage 3 will be released this afternoon at their daily news briefing.
A document released in late April outlined what stage 3 could look like:
- Opening all workplaces “responsibly”
- Further relaxing restrictions on public gatherings
- Continued protections for vulnerable populations and health and safety measures
Although it’s expected that social gatherings will be able to increase to more than 10, concerts and sporting events will likely still be restricted. Playgrounds will also reportedly be re-opening with stage 3.
It’s unclear if stage 3 will be province-wide or follow a regional approach like stage 2.
