Starting this Friday, the City of London announced that is will be adjusting the hours of the Dundas Street road closure between Talbot and Wellington.
The block had been closed at certain hours beginning in July to allow for more pedestrian and cycling space.
Now, vehicle traffic will be diverted during the following hours:
- Friday- 4 p.m.-5 a.m.
- Saturday at 4 p.m. – Monday at 5 a.m. (including all day Sunday)
Note that the intersections at Dundas Street and Richmond Street as well as Dundas Street and Clarence Street will remain open for vehicle traffic.
The city says the road closures will help support patio opportunities for businesses on Dundas Place that have been struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The changes come after the city had been monitoring the previous road closures times and applied feedback from Downtown London BIA and businesses.
Temporary loading zones in the area will be adjusted to reflect the new road closure times.
Although Dundas Place is open to the public, public health guidelines including physical distancing remain in place.
