LIFE*SPIN London is putting on their annual Christmas Sponsorship Program. The program helps low income families in London give their children a happy Christmas. The program has reached 3000 registered children.
The next step is to start shopping. LIFE*SPIN is taking donations. The Lights & Sirens Toy Drive will be this Saturday, December 5th 2020, from 12pm until 3pm at fire station #1 400 Horton Street at Colborne.
Obviously this year we’re doing things a little differently, but we still need your support! Please flip through to see how you can make Christmas special for a family in need this year and check out our website to sponsor a family!

Although kids won’t be able to sit on Santas knee this year, the Holiday spirit is still alive.
Jacqueline Thompson, the executive director for LIFE*SPIN says because of COVID restrictions, it’s a little harder to shop this year.
“Usually we have sponsors doing the shopping but because of COVID we’re not having sponsors shopping or dropping off gifts for families. So there’s a lot more delivery involved. And there’s a lot more online”.
Donations can be made online or at the fire station Saturday.
You can still sign up to sponsor a family as well. Thompson recommends about $50 to spend per child. If you buy gifts, Thompson asks that you bring it to the fire station on December 5th. If you purchase any gift cards, they can be brought to LIFE*SPIN at 866 Dundas Street in the mail slot, or mailed to P.O. Box 2801.
” In our society, we’ve taught children, if they’re good, then Santa comes to them, and brings them a gift under the tree. So we just want to make sure that all children feel that they’ve been good”.
