ByronScaryHouse has teamed up for a second year in a row with Fanshawe Pioneer Park to bring some fear this Halloween season.
In a terrifying transformation of the village buildings and grounds, visitors may become victims to the monsters lurking in the shadows.
For 18 years, ByronScaryHouse has been crafting their Byron family home into scenes of horror.
With pandemic safety guidelines, the ghosts and goblins were brought to the Fanshawe Pioneer Park to roam the land.
While ensuring secrets are kept as such, Fanshawe Pioneer Park Program Coordinator Christina Van Hardeveld is excited for Londoners to experience The Abandoned Village.
“Because of COVID, it brought Byron to look for new places and bigger spaces, and that’s where we come in. We’re this giant open air site where effectively we’re a small town where people are travelling primarily outside.”

With the creepy attraction capable of being spread out across the half a kilometre long park, it ensures a great deal of distancing between groups.
“It’s honestly amazing, over five of our buildings have been taken over and completely transformed. Different parts of our site have a slightly different theme, but the idea is that the village has long been abandoned and the spirits are back to see what’s happened. There’s different themes all through out the site for people to be seeing, so there’s a little something for everyone to be scared of. It’s amazing to see the spaces, I can hardly recognize it,” shares Van Hardeveld. “It really is scary, I am personally too afraid to go through it.”
Masks are required for those aged 14+ who can muster up the courage through out the half hour attraction. Tickets are available for $25 until October 31.
