Travis Scott, BTS, J Balvin, all artists who have collaborated with McDonald’s to create their own meal with the franchise. Other chain restaurants have joined in on the trend, such as Burger King with their Chase Hudson meal. Now Tim Horton’s is taking their chances at it.
Tim Hortons recently introduced their own celebrity collaboration, TimBiebs.
The collection of new Timbit flavours selected by Justin Bieber includes chocolate white fudge, sour cream chocolate chip, and birthday cake waffle.
Bieber’s new flavours have been received well by Tim Horton’s customers, with one Tim Horton’s employee saying they have been by far the most popular items.
“When they first came out, they definitely flew off the shelves,” he says. “I don’t think there was one order that we got in the drive thru that didn’t include TimBiebs.”
While they are a trendy and fun version of the classic Timbit, they are still just Timbits.
Matt Lombardi, the aforementioned Tim Horton’s employee, says he doesn’t see the popularity of the flavours staying around for long.
“They’re still good Timbits, but to be honest they kind of just taste like normal Timbits,” he explains. “I think people just got them on the first day just because they were Justin Bieber Timbits I don’t think people are gonna come come through and get them like that much anymore.”
The Canadian franchise is making the most of the collaboration, selling TimBiebs merchandise alongside the tasty treats. However, be prepared to spend as the merchandise will put you down thirty dollars.
