Of course the topic of a school having the best athletics is not only a bias, but an opinion. Fanshawe athletes want to prove to all, that Fanshawe is the best college for athletics.
Mitch Hampson, a golfer for Fanshawe college said “I think Fanshawe’s athletics is so good because I feel like every team has amazing team spirit, this to me plays a major factor in the outcome of an event, being a athlete myself I think is one of the best reasons as to why we succeed.” Hampson also stated “me personally as an athlete, I think that we have great team spirit and it plays a big factor on winning.” This year, to go along with Hampson’s bronze medal, he was also named a CCAA Championship all-star for his tournament performance.
Sandy Freeland, cross country athlete at Fanshawe and he thinks Fanshawe has the best athletics “because we work hard to build a sense of community in our teams that make athletes keep wanting to come back and compete for their school.” Freeland has many achievements at the school with some consisting of athlete of the week for Fanshawe, athlete of the month for OCAA and many more great achievements like first place medals.
Connor Stapleford is one of the college’s top pitchers on the baseball team with a 3.00 ERA which is great for a starting pitcher. Stapleford thinks Fanshawe college is the best athletic college and said this, “Fanshawe is the best college for athletics because we are the only school to have a partnership with Under Armour. All athletes receive around $800 worth of Fanshawe Under Armour sports gear and 25% off Under Armour gear at London’s Source for Sports (and Under Armour outlet).”
Unfortunately no athletic or information officers were able to speak but the athletes have proved their point. With the unbelievable amount of team spirit, the hard work to build a community and the partnerships with brands like under armour, Fanshawe College is proving to be the best school for athletics.
