Summer is a season to head out on the range. Now, when I say “range,” I’m not referring to a kitchen stove, or even an open, grassy expanse that you pasture cattle on and ride through astride a trusty, noble steed, posing for tourists as you go. No, I’m talking about a wide variety – a range – and that is what I’ll be playing today (and most of the summer)on Routes & Branches & Beyond. I’ll have Balkan celtic sailors, weathered soul, Northern dog tails, desert blues full of hope, Ethiopian one-stringed swing, islanders throwing caution to the wind, a flurry of reels, British dancing shoes, Quebecois django, summer wassailling, Vegas telephone calls, Cornish orchestral prog trad, and calming spacegrass.
From bands like Teagrass,Tri-Continental, Ian Tamblyn, Tinariwen, Tommy T, Ten strings & a goat skin, Téada, John Tams, Christine Tassan & les imposteures, The Teacups, Two High String Band, Trian, Teyr, and Artie Traum. Put down that lariat and join us.
