Regardless of clear and warmer weekend golf course seems quiet.
“Phone’s are ringing up but we are not sure how many are going to show up but it should be good though the weather is nice” says Peter Henderson, General Manager of Crumlin Golf Course.
Asking about his expectations for the next week he says, “Weather’s only good for 2 days and thats about it, we are only open for days and then it’s again 2 degrees on Sunday so”
“There are some diehards out there who will come and play so will see” he added.
Last year of the same day it was like -5 and today it’s almost 14 degrees! Although groundhog’s expected early spring, Londoners are bit surprised but they seem happy.
Commenting on the change, Vicky Damen, a local Londoner says, “Canada’s big country, other countries have more heat then we do, certainly not going to affect my life-time but I’m worried about my grand kids.”
Talking about the dropping temperature next week she mentioned, “That’s alright, maple syrup time is coming up, nice in the day cold at night, that should do it.”
Anyway, temperature’s going to drop again and there’s a slight chance of flurries around Thursday.
