The cause of the recall is due to potential listeria contamination.
Listeria can cause vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headaches, and muscle stiffness. In severe cases, listeria can cause death.
Listeria is a risk to women undergoing pregnancy as it can cause premature delivery, infection of the baby, or stillbirth.
If you’re sick from the recalled product, contact your healthcare provider.
If you have recalled products, the Government of Canada suggests throwing them out or returning them to where you purchased them.
