A storm in London earlier this afternoon has left hundreds of Londoners without power, as well as trees being uprooted and traffic lights not working throughout the city.
The London Fire Department says they have received several 911 calls about a hydro pole sparking in the area of Highbury Avenue and Webster Street.
They also say they are currently responding to several downed trees and hydro lines around the city.

At 22 Cobblestone Drive a tree has been uprooted and severed a gas line. The London Fire Department says that the strong wind is helping the natural gas dissipate. No injuries have been reported.
There are also reports of traffic lights not working on Wonderland Road from Fanshawe Park Road West to Sarnia Road, at Colborne and Cheapside Street, as well as Adelaide Street North and Huron Street.
The storm also caused outages in various areas including Western University, Fanshawe College, and the Masonville Public Library
Environment Canada says to continue to monitor alerts the rest of the afternoon as more thunderstorms may develop throughout the day.
