The storm on Monday has not only flooded parts of London, but has flooded out one of the most anticipated festivals in the city this weekend.
The Great Outdoor Comedy Fest team has released a statement saying that, due to the extreme flooding in Harris Park, the Great Outdoor Comedy Fest is canceled.
“It is with deep regret that we announce the cancellation of this weekend’s Great Outdoors Comedy Festival in London,” says the team in a statement.
“Our primary goal is to provide the best experience for our fans, the talent, and our partners, with their safety and well-being at the forefront of everything we do.”
The statement went on to mention the overall disappointment in the decision, but that they continue to thank Londoners for their support.
“Our team has worked tirelessly with the city to try and find a way for the show to go on, but given the current conditions of the grounds, we are unable to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone involved,” the statement reads.
“The tremendous amount of support we’ve had from the London community since announcing our expansion into the city has been incredible, and we’re so disappointed that we can’t celebrate our first weekend there with you.”
Refunds for purchased tickets will be processed automatically.
“Thank you for everything London, we look forward to laughing with you in better conditions in 2025.”
