London faces transitional weather with clouds, cold showers, and a breeze. The temperatures are not above 14 degrees regularly, and there is rain every day.
Businesses in London are seeing lower demand as bad weather keeps people indoors.
The weather has become an issue for Saga Board Games & Coffee:
“This weather kills the business in the morning. Nobody wants to get out.
Everybody likes feeling cozy; they take refuge from the moist and cold weather. It absolutely has been negatively impacted us.” Says Hector, the Manager of Saga.
He was frustrated:
“These last few days have been very, very bad compared to some weeks ago. It’s very hard to do anything other than make more posts on Instagram and invite people to come in if they are unwilling to leave their houses or workplaces.”
The meteorologist Barbara Lapida says that we have a low-pressure system coming from the west, moving through the province, and the combination will bring a lot of rain and very low temperatures.
“That slow movement, what it’s producing is a very cold advection from the north. So, all those cold temperatures from the north were advected to the south. And since it’s moving very slowly, that advection continues over the days.” Lapida also says that Temperatures are going to start rising again on Monday and that the weather should be between seasons again, with a maximum of 20 degrees.
