The London Knights fanatics took on Dundas Place to celebrate the 2025 Memorial Cup championship with the team after defeating the Medicine Hat Tigers in the final on Sunday, June 1.
The event was at 6 p.m. on Monday, June 2, at Dundas Place. Londoners had a chance to celebrate the title and meet the players. Fans began lining up for player autographs an hour before it started.
“I am super happy that they won it. I thought that it was going to be a close game, but I was not expecting 4-1, “ said Jordan, a young Knights’ supporter. “I want to tell the team that I love them so much and that they have inspired me to play hockey.“
The city encouraged fans to cheer on the Knights and to enjoy the celebration.
“We have got, in my opinion, the best London Knights team ever. Congratulations to the team, they were exceptional,” said Patrick, who has supported the team for more than 40 years.
The Knights’ last Memorial Cup title was 9 years ago in 2016 when they won overtime against the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies.
