With Father’s Day approaching, students and staff at Fanshawe College are taking a moment to reflect on the impact their fathers have had on their lives especially when it comes to support, sacrifice and guidance.
Students at Fanshawe College expressed gratitude towards their fathers.
“I love my dad. He’s my hero,” said Connor, a current student at Fanshawe. “I appreciate all the sacrifices he made for me.”
“My father worked really hard for me and my family. Because of him, I’m able to study here,” said Arjun, an international student at Fanshawe. “I appreciate everything that he did for me.”
Arjun also added that not only did his father fund his education, but he has also been an eternal emotional beacon of support to him all his life.
Employees around Fanshawe were also very passionate about the great sacrifices and the unlimited support they received from their fathers.
“He’s always there for me to talk to at any time of day, if I ever have any issues,” said Seth, an employee at Fanshawe. “He’s always there to help me whenever I’m having issues or just need any sort of advice.”
“Father’s Day is a great opportunity to think about the individuals who influenced us,” said Sneyheb, another Fanshawe employee. “A lot of our students are here because of the strength and support of their parents, particularly their dads.”
Ahead of the weekend, many Fanshawe students said they planned to call or visit their dads this weekend and make sure they say thank you for everything dads do for them.
