The City of London and Call2Recycle are launching their new battery recycling initiative.
The organizer promoted the initiative on Wednesday, July 30. Call2Recycle says they will install multiple Smart Containers, specialized recycling bins for batteries, at key locations throughout the city to make recycling more accessible for residents.
Six new smart bins will be placed at community centres across the city, giving Londoners a safe place to drop off their used batteries

- South London Community Centre (1119 Jalna Blvd)
- Canada Games Aquatic Centre (1045 Wonderland Rd N)
- Startech.com Community Centre (501 Southdale Rd W)
- Central Public Library (251 Dundas St)
- Storybook Gardens (1958 Storybook Lane).
The program will officially launch at the Storybook Garden’s Touch-a-Truck event on Saturday, August 22, from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M.
