From glowing pumpkins to haunted history, London is filled with frightful fun this Halloween night.
At Storybook Gardens, Pumpkins After Dark is celebrating its first year in the city.
The outdoor attraction features a one-kilometre pathway lined with more than 10,000 hand-carved jack-o-lanterns. Each pumpkin is carved and arranged to form scenes ranging from whimsical to spooky.
Visitors can also enjoy fall treats and themed photo ops.
Event organizers say the exhibit offers a chance to experience Halloween in a more interactive, family-friendly way while still capturing the holiday’s eerie charm.
Across town, Hyland Cinema is hosting its annual Horror at the Hyland event, marking its fifth year of bringing classic scares to the big screen.
The theatre will feature showings of Halloween, House of 1000 Corpses and a mystery midnight movie to close out the series.
Fans attending the screenings can take part in a costume contest at 8 p.m., judged by hosts from Radio Western’s Outside the Frame. Prizes for the best costumes are being sponsored by Earth 519 Comics.
For those seeking a more historic kind of fright, Eldon House is opening its doors for Morbid and Macabre Tours between 7 and 10 p.m.
The guided experience delves into the home’s ghostly legends and explores Victorian death rituals that were once common in London’s early days.
Built in 1834, Eldon House is the city’s oldest surviving residence and is known for its preserved artifacts and family heirlooms.
Whether it’s through art, film or history, Londoners have no shortage of ways to celebrate Halloween tonight.
