Londoners have a full week of arts and entertainment ahead, with festivals, theatre and live music taking over the city.
The annual Sorry! Comedy Festival returns Monday, offering six nights of stand‑up, sketch, improv and roast battles across multiple venues downtown.
The festival will also feature the “Next Best Comic” contest, highlighting emerging talent from across Canada.
Organizers say the weeklong celebration brings something for every level of comedy fan.
On Tuesday, the Grand Theatre opens its doors to Wonderful Joe, a solo‑marionette production by award‑winning puppeteer Ronnie Burkett.
The show follows Joe and his dog, Mister, as they navigate eviction and urban change, blending humour, puppetry and live music.
The production will run through to Nov. 23.
Music fans can look forward to the VENUExVENUE music festival, which returns Thursday and runs through Saturday.
The multi‑day, multi‑venue festival features more than 50 artists performing across downtown London.
The festival also includes an industry conference, providing a platform for networking and showcasing emerging talent.
Also on Thursday, the London Music Office and Words Festival will host Words & Music at the Wolf Performance Hall.
The free event celebrates London’s designation as Canada’s first UNESCO City of Music and features live performances by local artists alongside discussions about songwriting and lyric craft.
Rounding out the week, the Rock N’ Gem Show returns Friday and continues through Sunday at RBC Place London.
Canada’s largest rock and gem exhibition will display thousands of crystals, gemstones, fossils, beads, jewelry and decorative items, drawing collectors and curious visitors alike.
This week’s events reflect London’s growing arts scene and provide opportunities for both residents and visitors to experience the city’s creative energy.
