Trailer Park Boys actor Mike Smith known for “Bubbles”, has been arraigned on a sexual assault charge, in connection with a 2017 incident involving a woman.
Smith, 53, did not appear in Halifax provincial court Monday, with his lawyer, Stan Macdonald, attending on his behalf.

The charge was filed on Oct. 2 after a police investigation.
Prosecutor Nicole Ford says Smith will not be given any special treatment despite his fame in Canada.
MacDonald gave a short statement to reporters, saying his client ”will be tried in court and not in the media.”
Smith is scheduled to be present in court on Dec. 3 to enter a plea.
