Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical will open its first show in London.
Featuring the hit songs “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” and “Welcome Christmas,” The Grinch discovers there’s more to Christmas than he bargained for in this heart-warming holiday classic.
Max the Dog narrates as the mean and scheming Grinch, whose heart is “two sizes too small,” decides to steal Christmas away from the holiday-loving Whos.
Hailed by The New York Times, this classic holiday musical will enchant adults and children alike.
XFM News reporter Emily Kim was interviewed with a main character of the musical, Mr. Grinch.
Mr. Grinch, who is new to London, Ontario, said he was from Mount Crumpit.
“I came all the way down here from Mount Crumpit, which is really far because it’s 3000 feet up from Whoville,” said Mr. Grinch. “And, you know, the climate is kind of like Mount Crumpit. I see a bunch of snow everywhere. And there are so many cheerful who’s here in London as well.”
Mr. Grinch expressed his feelings about the upcoming musical in London.
“Oh, well, I couldn’t be more excited. You know, I’m so pumped to see all of these London who’s here. And, you know, to hopefully have them help me steal Christmas or give it back or something.”
Mr. Grinch also said why people want to attend the musical.
“Well, of course,” Mr. Grinch opened his mouth with his signature hearty laugh. “A lot of people have read my book. And I think they just love this story and they love the Grinch. And I am quite the icon. So who wouldn’t love me? Am I right?”

“But I must say, I think it is a nice story that really helps remind all of the who’s tall and small that Christmas is about so much more than just the presents,” Mr. Grinch added.
Mr. Grinch explained the special merits of the performance.
“The set design very much follows the original illustrations from the book. And so you’ll see the page, all of the set design coming right off of the page. And you’ll feel like you’re just engulfed by the same story that you grew up reading and loving.”
Mr. Grinch said that he thinks there are a lot of talented who is in his production, and he has quite a good singing voice to express himself.
Lastly, Mr. Grinch left a message for all Londoners.
“Well, I need all of the recruits I can get to help me steal Christmas. So make sure you come on down to Canada Life Place and see my musical,” said Mr. Grinch.
