With the weather getting colder its the perfect time for some nice warm food like chili!
Fanshawe College turned up the heat as they wrapped up their annual chili cook of which took place in Forwell Hall.
The event is muchly anticipated every year with event go-ers getting full stomachs and also helping donate to a great cause.
There were four different options including one vegetarian option and event go-ers had to vote for which one they enjoyed the most.
In order to attend the event a $10 minimum donation was required. The donation went fully to Fanshawe’s United Way campaign.
Employee at United Way Ana Duque says the purpose of the campaign is to “collect funds for community to help everyone in need, those living in poverty, those needing children aid, and mental health illness.”
At the event, there were also a lot of volunteers from United weight and you could talk with them to get more information about United Way.
The event had a ton of people attending it with them selling out of chili within an hour and a half.
The winner of the contest was FSU’s ‘Fire in the hole’ chili. They were rewarded with a trophy crowning them as the chili champions!
