A construction worker has been airlifted to the hospital after being hit by a vehicle travelling on Highway 21 near Kincardine.
Emergency crews were called to the scene around 5:20 p.m. on Monday and found the worker with serious injuries.
According to police, a 70-year-old man was working in a construction zone when he was struck.
He was taken to a local hospital before being flown by Ornge to a trauma centre in London for further treatment.
Highway 21 was closed between Concession 6 and Concession 8 for several hours while OPP investigated.
The Ministry of Labour has also been notified and is now probing the incident.
