A sushi restaurant in Masonville Mall was seriously threatened by teenagers.
On Friday night, an employee at the Plaza Sushi restaurant in Masonville Mall asked a group of teenagers to leave the business as they were disturbing customers.

“At first, four high school girls came in and asked them to use the toilet, but they stole the washroom supplies and other items, and then try to steal men’s washroom and then the disabled washroom. So we just let them go outside. So they just leave. And then another two high school kids ask again,” said Chang.
“They want to use the washroom, but we refuse that. And then since we refuse that they’re asking, the happening happens.”
He explained that 20 to 30 high school students had already disturbed their customers out of the door, danced, threw garbage, and cursed and continued to the disturbance.
“And in the midst of this, some high school boys threatened me with a knife and fists,” added Chang.
According to the London police, there were no injuries have been reported, but Chang still has injuries and damages from that day.
“At that time, I was very surprised and flustered,” said Chang. “Fortunately, other people except me were slightly injured, and the police came early and organized well. However, in my opinion, a high school boy with a knife needs to be punished.”
CCTV footage obtained by XFM News showed a group of high school girls asked if they could use the washroom. After that, they were also filmed leaving.
And in other photos, the damage left by teenagers remained.

“A 16-year-old male, who cannot be named under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, assault, and disobeying a court order. Now, the accused is scheduled to appear in London Court in relation to the charges,” said Sgt. Sandasha Bough with London Police Service.
“In fact, in the case of high school delinquency, it is understandable because it is the behavior of young people, but the problem is that threatening with a knife can harm other people’s lives and threaten others,” added Chang. “I think strong punishment is necessary for these parts even though they are minors.”
Police also said the investigation is ongoing with respect to the other individuals who were there at the time of the offense.
