Jeff Kent has made the MLB hall of fame.
He was voted in on the Baseball Hall of Fame by Contemporary Era committee.
Kent played for the Blue Jays in 1992 appearing in 65 games before being traded to the New York Mets, in the deal that brought David Cone to Toronto.
Kent won an MVP in 2000, and was a five time all-star and a four time silver slugger award winner.
Jeff Kent is also the all time leader in home runs by a second basemen with 377
Former Blue Jay Carlos Delgado was also on the ballot.
Delgado fell just three votes short of being elected to the hall of fame.
Delgado was a Blue Jay from 1993-2003, being a two time all-star with the Blue Jays.
The Blue Jays posted a tweet on X, congratulating Kent and highlight his accomplishments
