The largest free New Year’s celebration in the region will be held at Victoria Park in London.
The event is a family-friendly one that a lot of entertainments with fireworks, free outdoor skating and live music.
“This is an opportunity for us to bring the entire community, the City of London together for one night to celebrate and bring in the New Year and it’s free and that’s the real point is to provide free family fun,” said Mario Circelli, the chair and event manager.
All of the performers are local and they will be on the stage this year.
Including Saidat, For the Record, the Brad Gibb Allstar Band, Simple Reflections for Artists, and the Forest City London Music Awards Allstars are going to perform on the event.
Circelli said that everything is the highlight of the event.
“Well, the highlight of the event is really the musical talent. The musical talent that’s on stage, they’re all local musicians, they’re fantastic world-class musicians, they play music that everybody will know and can dance to or sing along and celebrate,” said Circelli.
“The fireworks at eight o’clock, there’s two fireworks shows, so eight o’clock for the family portion and then at midnight, the official ringing in of the New Year.”
Also, this new year event is a place to give hope to Londoners who have had a hard year.
“2025 has been a tough year for a lot of people, so this is an opportunity for us to to gather together, celebrate and ring in the New Year with hopes and aspirations for a bright 2026,” added Circelli.
Finally, Circelli sent a message to the visitors.
“Come on down and have fun and have an opportunity to see some of the best musical talent that our city has to offer, some of the best musicians, not only in London, but across Ontario and in Canada.”
This event will be held on December 31st.
