Prime Minister Mark Carney arrived in Switzerland on Monday, January 19, to join the global power elite for the World Economic Forum.
He is meeting on Tuesday with business and global leaders to boost investment in Canada.
Carney is set to give speeches on Tuesday and Wednesday, aimed at luring investment to Canada before returning to Ottawa.
And he is set to leave Switzerland on Wednesday and might depart before Trump speaks at Davos at 9:30 a.m. Ottawa time.
This meeting falls between a scheduled speech and participation in various meetings at the forum, where Carney will address heads of state and corporations.
He has said that Canada must work within the world as it currently is.
