The Fanshawe Student Union and the Fanshawe Alumni are hosting a food market in Forwell Hall today from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. Featuring various fruits and vegetables such as grapes, bell peppers, oranges and onions.
The bags cost 5 dollars which is roughly 4x the value of what you would find at your local grocery store.
Students attending the event said that they really appreciate the market because it’s such a cheap alternative to the grocery store and it saves them the trip of having to lug a bunch of groceries back to their house.
“We have lot’s of fruit and veggies, all you need for the day. Just come grab whichever bag you like the most and make your purchase, simple and easy.” Said a Fanshawe Student Union member.
“We found the best provider in town and we wanted to give students the best deal possible” Said FSU member.
A student who purchased a bag said “It would be a lot more expensive if I went to Walmart or food basics and I’m broke right now so this makes it easier for me to get fruits and veggies without spending a bunch of money i don’t have.”
Supplies are limited so grab some while you can.
