UPDATE: London-born forward Nazem Kadri returns to the Colorado Avalanche in a trade with the Calgary Flames. Kadri reportedly signed a seven-year contract with the Flames in August of 2022, costing the team $49 million.
Several teams are making their final moves as the NHL trade deadline day comes to a close.
Early morning on Friday, Defenseman John Carlson from the Washington Capitals had been traded to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for a conditional 1st-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, and a third-round pick in 2027.
The Buffalo Sabres acquired New York Rangers forward Sam Carrick for a third round and sixth round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft.

The Boston Bruins traded former London Knights defenseman Jackson Edward and London-born forward Brett Harrison to the Philadelphia Flyers for forwards Alexis Gendron and Massimo Rizzo.
Bobby Brink from the Philadelphia Flyers was also moved to the Minnesota Wild for David Jiricek.
The Chicago Blackhawks traded captain Nick Foligno to the Minnesota Wild. Blackhawks coach, Jeff Blashill confirmed, the 38 year old forward will join his brother Marcus Foligno in St.Paul.
The Los Angeles Kings forward Corey Perry is headed to the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Bolts acquired the forward in exchange for a second round draft pick as per Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman.

The Seattle Kraken sign captain Jordan Eberle to a two-year contract extension, reportedly costing the Seattle team $5.5 million annually.

The Pittsburgh Penguins receives Detroit Red Wings forward Elmer Soderblom for the San Jose Sharks’ third round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft.

The New York Islanders add Brayden Schenn from the St. Louis Blues. TSN insider Darren Dreger said on social media that a prospect, first and third round pick was returned for Schenn.
Philadelphia Flyers forward Nic Deslauriers is sent to the Carolina Hurricanes for a conditional seventh round pick in the 2027 NHL Draft.
The Washington Capitals acquired San Jose Sharks defenseman Timothy Liljegren for a 2026 fourth round pick.
The Detroit Red Wings land St. Louis Blues defenseman Justin Faulk in exchange for Justin Holl, and a first and third round pick.
Toronto Maple Leafs Forward Scott Laughton has been shipped to the Los Angeles Kings for a conditional third round pick.
Vancouver Canucks center David Kämpf is headed to the Washington Capitals, and winger Lukas Reichel to the Boston Bruins.
