London Police charged three men with drug trafficking Wednesday, after seizing cocaine during an impaired driving stop, police said.
The suspects, age 23, 24 and 25, are jointly charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Police said a London officer stopped a vehicle on Adelaide St. N. near Thompson Rd. at around 1:50 a.m., to investigate suspected impaired driving. The officer smelled marijuana and saw cannabis-related items in the vehicle, they said. Further investigation led police to seize suspected cocaine and arrest all three men.
The following items were seized:
- – Approx. 354 grams of suspected cocaine, valued at $35,400
- – Digital scale
- – Canadian currency
All three of the accused have been released from custody and have upcoming court dates.
