Fanshawe College hosted a spring market that gave students and alumni the chance to showcase their products and connect with the local community. The event was organized by the Fanshawe Student Union and Leap Junction, with event coordinator Cami Ariza helping bring everything together.
“This market gives our student entrepreneurs a real opportunity to sell their products and connect with customers,” said Sarah from Leap Junction.
The market featured a wide variety of offerings, from 3D-printed items and handmade crafts to clothing and unique services like lashes and teeth gems.
Vendors shared their creativity and passion with attendees. Dragons Pay My Rent displayed 3D-printed keychains, wall art, lights, and tabletop gaming accessories. Sakshi Jadhav from The Cool Granny sold handmade tulips, flowers, keychains, and clothing items.

In addition to supporting student businesses, the Spring Market also highlighted programs for international students. Professor Olya Loshkin works with newcomers to help develop workplace communication skills and prepare them for success in Canada.
“Events like this give students a chance to gain real business experience and build confidence,” said Cami Ariza, FSU event coordinator.
Organizers say the market not only helps students sell their products but also strengthens connections in the community and encourages creativity. Many students walked away with new ideas for turning their passions into career opportunities.
For student entrepreneurs, the Spring Market is more than a sales event—it is a chance to practice communication, learn about running a business, and meet new customers and supporters. With positive energy and creativity on display, the market continues to inspire and support the next generation of student innovators at Fanshawe College.
