The Institute of Indigenous Learning (IIL) is holding its year end gathering on March 26.
The event will feature powwow dancing and drumming. Participating is Host Drum Eagle Flight, Hoop Dancer Emilee Pitawanakwat, Male Head Dancer Kayson Cameron and many more.
The IIL will also host an awards ceremony honouring Indigenous students.
Vendors will be present with unique Indigenous art, craft and food.
There is no entry cost and anyone from the public can attend.
This event will be held in the J Building gym at the Glenn Johnston Athletic Centre on the Fanshawe College main campus
The Year End Gathering runs from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Indigenous Institute of Learning at Fanshawe College provides services, activities, and a “home away from home” for First Nations, Métis and Inuit students and staff.
Since 1996, the institute has grown from 72 students to over 700.
