A 32‑year‑old London man has been charged in connection with a stabbing in the city’s downtown core.
Police say the incident occurred Friday just after 11 p.m. near the intersection of Richmond Street and Queens Avenue. Police say the victim was walking in the area when he was approached and stabbed by another man.
“Officers located the victim, who was transported to the hospital with serious injuries,” police said.
Police later confirmed the injuries were serious but not life‑threatening.
Police say video surveillance was used to identify the suspect, who was arrested shortly afterward.
Police say the suspect and the victim were not known to one another.
