London’s annual residence satisfaction survey has begun. 500 Londoners will be randomly selected for a phone call to ask about what they like and don’t like about London.
“I would expect relative consistency in terms of the issues and level of satisfaction.” said the Director of Strategy, Innovation and Economic Development with the City of London, Trevor Fowler. “The trend line for the past three or four years has been fairly consistent. Based on past trends, things have been relatively stable the past few years.”
Fowler said that the survey will involve questions revolving around how the person views the quality of life in London, as well as how satisfied they are with the city services, how connected they feel to the London community, and more.
The survey also allows the City of London to discover what people want improved in the City of London.
“2025, the top issues were in the areas of housing and homelessness, traffic and mental health and drug addiction.” said Fowler.
Well into 2026, it seems that there are some new issues at the forefront of peoples minds.
“Downtown for sure.” Said Nazar Vuyiv. “They need to make it prettier and safer, especially for people at nighttime.”
“Something I want to see improved in London is the construction.” Said Elizabeth Miller. “It’s like they set up these construction zones everywhere and block them off, and only work at them one at a time.”
