The London Public Library is once again open and welcoming guests to borrow, browse, and use the computers.
With the exception of Glanworth Branch, libraries will reopen with red zone precautions. Meaning that face masks will be required for everyone over the age of two. There is a limit of 45 minutes a day for visitors including those using the computers. Social distancing is a must. There will be capacity limits meaning there might be wait-times during peak hours. Self-checkouts, photocopiers and printers will be available for use. But library staff will also be around to assist visitors at a safe distance.
London Public Library asks that people continue to use the outdoor chutes to return their borrowed items as they are not doing returns inside at this time. This is so that returned items can go through a quarantine period for everyone’s safety.
Although the library is allowing people to come in at this time to borrow items, browse the shelves, and use the computers, some might not be ready to return in-person at this time. For those who do not want to go into the library yet, London Public Library continues to offer some free online resources. To access those resources, all you need is a library card.
