Due to a combo of police presence and on and off again rain on Broughdale Ave, FOCO didn’t have as big of a presence this year in comparison to previous years. The London Police have estimated about 2,000 people came and went on the infamous party street. But officers watched over the street that night, while handing out threats of fines and tickets to those spotted with open alcohol. In the past Broughdale had seen upwards of up to 20,000 students and partygoers with much more severe aftermath.
Thing’s like damaged property and injuries is the norm, so we’re sure Broughdale residents were thankful for the slightly smaller turn around this year. The partying extended to other streets near by like Huron, but it was much more contained this year in comparison to others. Online Video Surfaced of partiers performing backflips and gathering in large mask less, non socially distant crowds.
Only two people had been taken to hospital both with minor injuries, officials said Saturday afternoon. The number of total tickets issued during the weekend has yet to be released.
