The London Knights have been a busy team this past week. They have won 3 games in a row after losing two straight to Sarnia. Now they have also completed a trade with Kingston.
The Trade
The London Knights traded Defenseman Ben Roger to Kingston for draft picks in return. These are the draft picks the London Knights received in the trade:
• 3rd Round Selection in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection (Kitchener)
• 2nd Round Selection in the 2024 OHL Priority Selection (Windsor)
• Conditional 3rd Round Selection in the 2025 OHL Priority Selection
In this trade, the London Knights are looking to the future, solidifying their draft pick stock for the next couple of years. Roger only amassed a total of 6 points with the Knights in 35 games played. He now joins the Kingston defensive core that has struggled this year, keeping the opponents from scoring goals.
Game Preview
It also gameday for the Knights as they head to Guelph to take on the Storm.
The Knights are coming off three straight wins against their rivals, the Kitchener Rangers and the Windsor Spitfires. In those three games, the Knights managed to do what they couldn’t against Sarnia last week, score a bunch of goals. The Knights offensive streak is looking to continue tonight.
The Storm comes into this game in the middle of the standings and looking to climb. The Storm are 5-4-1 in their last ten games and are looking to start a hot streak that could get them back in the race for a playoff spot.
The game gets started tonight at 7:30 pm at the Sleeman Center in Guelph.
