In what will most likely be the coldest football game of the year so far, the AFC’s hottest team the New England Patriots take on the Buffalo Bills. The Bills and Patriots games are always classics as their heated rivalry has stemmed all the way back to the days of Tom Brady as a rookie. Although those days are now over, Patriots rookie Quarterback Mac Jones would love to continue the Patriots’ domination of Buffalo over the years.
The Patriots come into this prime-time matchup the hottest team in the AFC. They have won 6 straight games and are one win away from becoming the top team in the conference. Mac Jones is also on par to be an easy winner for Rookie of the Year this season as well. If the Patriots can finish the season on top of the AFC, this will grant them the AFC’s only first-round bye week for Playoffs. The Patriots’ defense has also been top tier this season shutting down high-powered offenses with ease. They will need to shut down the Bills fast-paced offense to take control of the game.
The Bills come into this game a confusing team. They have won big games but also lost games they easily should have won. This trend has brought up concerns about the team’s ability to make the playoffs this season. Currently, they are in position for a wild-card spot, but a couple of losses could leave them without a spot in the playoffs. This is why the Bills need to win this game. With a win, they would tie the Patriots for the division lead and tie for the conference lead as well. The Bills need to score early and score often if they are going to topple the red-hot Patriots.
The game gets started tonight at 8:15 pm.
