A streak in sports can either be good or bad. Unfortunately for the Fanshawe Women’s Basketball team, their current streak is losing. The team has not won a game in 5 games after winning their first game. In addition, Fanshawe has failed to capitalize on some winnable games in the five-game losing streak.
Fanshawe’s Women’s Basketball team has struggled on offense this season. They have only scored more than 60 points in one game this season. Alison Cotton and Grace Shea have averaged ten more points per game despite the struggles. For Fanshawe to rebound, Cotton and Shea will need to take over on offense and lead the team. Mackenzie Van Dyk has also been a defensive force getting an average of over ten rebounds per game. The defensive side of the ball will also need to play lockdown defense to get back to their winning ways.
The Falcons will have their opportunity to rebound today against Sheridan. Sheridan is also on a five-game losing streak with a record of 1-5. This game gives Fanshawe a perfect chance to win and start winning some games. However, one team’s streak will end after this game, and something has got to give. The game takes place tonight at 6:00 PM EST.
